Makeup Monday!! - Dramatic Smokey Eye

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. :) I wanted to do something different for today's "Monday" post. Even I need a breather from nail polish! I desperately needed to rock my new lippie from M.A.C, Honeylove so I decided to do a really dark smokey eye. Perfect opportunity! This past weekend was the first time I had worn a smokey eye in what feels like forever! So today I wanted to share what I used.

NYX Eyeshadow Base has always been my go-to eyeshadow primer. I've been using it for years. It's easy to blend and ensures my makeup will last for hours. Plus it's very inexpensive! My Naked 2 will always have my heart. It is the best palette for creating smokey looks. The shadows are extremely pigmented and are easily blendable. And it's such amazing quality. I've always wanted to try the coveted Ben Nye Banana Powder after hearing it is one of Kim Kardashian's makeup staples. Who doesn't want fabulous makeup like her?! Oh em gee! This powder is so wonderful. As I've gotten older, I've noticed more discoloration on my face so I love using this on top of my foundation and concealer to add a much needed brightness to the face. My Holy Grail concealer is and forever will be the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. It gives a very flawless finish and doesn't look cakey. Plus it matches my skin tone perfectly! (Read the full post HERE) I have recently taken an interest in full brows. To help fill them in completely, I use a Maybelline single eyeshadow in Made for Mocha. Still learning but so far I love it! I've been dyinggg to try anything Kevyn Aucoin since I've heard so many wonderful things about his beauty products. I was extremely delighted to see I received one in a Glossybox. I'm sure by now you know I'm a sucker for mascara and trying every possible one is a dream. His Curling Mascara is so divine - great for adding volume and much needed length! M.A.C Honeylove lipstick is such a perfect matte nude. I was extremely nervous it would be too light but it is so stunning! I think it looks absolutely gorgeous against my skin tone. I've been using the Makeup Forever Flash Palette for ages now. It works well as gel liner and makes looks extremely pigmented. I have been absolutely fascinated with contouring and bronzing lately and finally found a shade dark enough (possibly too dark?) for my skin tone. Covergirl Queen collection is so amazing. It's highly pigmented and easily blendable. I normally don't bother using lip liners but picked up this Sally's Beauty Supply one a while ago. It matches perfectly with the nude lipstick. Great amazing quality for an inexpensive product. I received a sample of Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-foundation Skin Primer in a Glossybox so I started testing it out a few weeks ago. I haven't formed an opinion at this time but I find the packaging to be just stunning! Foundation isn't really my thing but lately Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has become my go to. It easily evens out my skin tone and extremely light to wear. A must.

Have a fabulous week! Until next time, toodles.
