Lol lol. Tarte has seriously been on my radar lately you guys. Since last month was my birthday month and all I said why not treat myself to cult fave Shape Tape Concealer. I've heard so many wonderful things I just had to finally see what all the hype was about. And I literally just ran out of my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer so I had to jump at the opportunity. Haha.
First things first. The smell is absolutely atrocious. It has that awful plastic paint odor. But after a while it does dissipate so there's that.
You know I'm all about full coverage these days and this baby totally delivers. It's pigmented AF so color correcting isn't mandatory and a little goes a long way. I do find this is one you have to work with quickly though as it does dry very fast but blending is super easy and effortless. It's buildable, doesn't crease or get cakey. And setting is not necessary. I love that.
I must admit I was iffy about this concealer. But I totally understand the hype. The shade range is pretty shitty for people of color and could use some improvement. But other than that it's absolutely lovely. Get it together already by the way, Tarte! I'll continue to use it. Queen Ashley approved. Lol.
