Goodbye to cake face and dark smokey eyes. Summer is here. (Yay!) When it comes to summer I believe less is more. It's all about that glow life with gorgeous golden skin and rocking bad ass lippies. Today I'll be sharing my must have summer beauty essentials. P.S. I don't know about you but I plan on relaxing by the pool sipping margarita's getting my tan on allll summerrr longgg. Eeek! :)
The highlighter
Now I'm all about that glow life as of late and Avalon does one hell of an amazing job. It has quickly become yet another favorite from ColourPop Cosmetics. (They've stolen my heart!) It's the most perfect highlighter and will have you glowing for dayssss. It is so intense. Instant goddess. Just how we like it right?! Right.
Lips
Lipsticks will always be my go to no matter what time of year it is. I like them to be the main focus. All eyes on me, k? (Haha. I really am a lipstick feign but I love it!) Any bad ass lippie will do at this point but I am finding myself reaching for liquid lipsticks a lot more lately. The brighter the better. I've been completely obsessed with ColourPop's Ultra Matte Lips in Succulent, Lychee and Mars. Yes please! More on those later. (*wink*)
Mascara
Mascara is a must. I absolutely love pairing it only with a gorgeous bright lip. It makes for such a beautiful statement. I've been gaga for Too Faced Better than Sex for a while now. It is so amazing. I absolutely adore it. The brush separates my lashes effortlessly while giving much needed drama, length and volume. Helloooo spider lashes! (Not really but I'll take what I can get with these nonexistent things).
Concealer
I don't find concealer to be necessary at all during the hotter seasons. But when sun bathing can't help get those designer bags, discoloration, etc in order on days where it's rough out here in these streets Maybelline Fit Me is the way to go. It has a very creamy texture which makes it extremely easy to blend. It's also very buildable but doesn't look cakey and gives a very flawless finish. I'll be honest though, as I'm getting darker it doesn't quite match my skin tone and in my opinion looks a hot ass mess (no Kim K. highlight this way) so I may just be on the hunt for a much deeper toned one for now.
I find it completely ironic (by the way), how it actually rained today and looks like complete sh*t outside. I was all ready to head out to the father in law's for a nice swim and lots of sipping of margaritas(Haha). Womp. You can stop now thank you! What are your go to summer loves? Happy Friday! <3
