I continued wearing a full face of makeup well into 2017 and the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation became a fast favorite. I swear it's nothing like anything I've ever tried before. It's full coverage, flawless and I swear the shade matches me perfectly. It has honestly become my holy grail. I haven't worn another since! (Full post HERE)
I finally succumbed to the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer and I must say the hype is so real! I don't think I've ever tried a concealer as full coverage as this and it looks absolutely amazing on the skin. I love that I don't have to color correct prior to using it and a setting powder isn't even necessary. I still think they're shade range is pretty shit but whaaaatever! I digress. PS are they coming out with a foundation?! Please don't let me down Tarte haha! Word on the street was the Wet N' Wild PhotoFocus Concealer was a Shape Tape dupe so you know I had to cop that! I'll admit at first I was skeptical but I can't even lie. I totally agree. Like Shape Tape it has a thick consistency, amazing pigmentation and blends very easily. Obsessed. (Full post HERE and HERE)
2017 was the year of eyeshadow palettes for me. My fave was easily the Fenty Beauty Galaxy Palette. No surprise there, amiright?! I'm such a glitter and shimmer girl and let me tell you. This palette did not disappoint. The packaging alone is breathtaking. I love the beautiful shade range and each shade is actually really pigmented. Makeup looks are endless too. If you know me then you know bathing in highlighter is literally one of my favorite things. So of course I had to include Fenty Beauty Trophy Wife Killawatt Highlighter. Since it's release it's the only highlighter I wear. It is so bomb you guys! It's the most miraculous yellow gold highlighter I've ever seen. Totally up my alley. It is so blinding and provides a gorgeous wet folded look even without a setting spray! You can wear it as an eyeshadow too. It is that banging. (Full post HERE)
My go to blush has been MAC Ambering Rose. I forgot how much I absolutely adore this blush you guys. It suits every look perfectly. I think that's what I love the most about it. It's like this beautiful rosy brown color with just a hint of red and bits of shimmer. It's so perfect. (Full post HERE)
Moving onto lashes and brows. Now I know I literally just got the Maybelline X MakeupShayla Big Shot Mascaras like last month. But I can already tell they're on holy grail status. The black shade is my absolute fave! It lengthens, it curls and provides that falsies look I always desire. Obsessed. (Full post HERE) Obviously I'm still using ColourPop for brows. Their Brow Colour Gel is amazeballs I swear! And it's cheap as fuhhh. I honestly need to do a full post on it stat. It is so good!
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder is still my fave. Even after trying Medium Deep. And I still think the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water is life changing. (Full post HERE)
I've been paying close attention to my skincare since a bish ain't getting any younger (bday in 30 days SAY WHAT?! lol). My new fave face mask is the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. It just leaves the skin so soft and smooth. Sold! I also got a sample of the Sunday Riley C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer last month and OMG. Another life changer. I know for a fact we're gonna be best friends sooooo I decided to include that as well. As soon as this sample runs out, I'm copping a full size. It is so bomb!
Ok so now lips. I'm not even gonna lie this category was super easy for once. My ride or dies have been Fenty Beauty lip products. Lol lol. I meaaaaan, they're really amazing OH KAY?! The Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb made me a gloss girl, the #Mattemoiselle lipsticks are the most conformable matte lippies I've ever worn, and Uncensored #Stunna Lip Paint is such a stunning red. In my opinion, Fenty Beauty completely dominated the beauty community in 2017. It was the launch of the year!! And rightfully so. I can't wait to see what my BFF has in store next!
