Top 5 Foundations for Brown/Dark Skin

From left to right: MAC Studio Fix, Maybelline FiT Me, Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick, Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r, Wet N' Wild PhotoFocus

I love foundation.

I basically want to try them all.  On my journey to finding "the one" for me I've found some that have become some of my absolute faves.  So here are 5 foundations I think you should try especially if you have brown/dark skin.

MAC Studio Fix Foundation (NC45)
If you're into full coverage then this is the foundation for you.  To be honest I only recently understood the hype.  But it is so bomb and looks lovely on the skin. I apply two layers easily and instantly appear photoshopped. This is one I go to when I need to appear as flawless as possible.  And the shade is pretty spot on too.  I do find this is one that can cake up just a bit though so I do recommend blending until your fingers fall off.  (Full post HERE)

Maybelline FiT Me Foundation (320)
Guys.  The hype is so real.  Medium to full coverage.  Easy to blend.  Doesn't get cakey.  Decent shade range.  Super affordable.  I honestly have nothing negative to say about this baby.  In fact  I love it so much that I have it in three different shades but I must say 320 matches me the best.  It kind of reminds me of the MAC Studio Fix Foundation.  I love it. Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation (Amber)
This was my go to foundation for the longest.  Coverage is phenomenal, it's super easy to blend, doesn't look cakey on the skin and stays put for hours. I do find this foundation can be a bit more on the drier side though so I do have to make sure I moisturize properly before applying it.  It is more ideal for oily to combination skin.  And I do have very, very, very dry skin so I guess you can't completely blame the foundation. To be honest, Anastasia never disappoints.   Her products really are amazing and I can appreciate the shade range.  I actually have a backup in another shade and it matches me pretty damn well too.  Not too shabby. Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation (380)
I meaaaan honestly you didn't expect a top foundation post without this beauty did you?!  Lol.  When I say this foundation is so bomb you guys I really mean it.  It is so pigmented.  Coverage is  unbelievable.  It smooths the skin beautifully and in my opinion, doesn't accentuate texture or emphasize pores.  My problem area with foundation tends to be around my nose.  It can get cakey quick, but I don't experience any of that when I use this baby.  I've actually never worn anything like it.  And the shade range?!  HUNTYYYYYY!  Rihanna shut it downnnn.   I have red, yellow, and neutral undertones but never has a foundation matched me better!  I'll be posting a full review of this baby sometime this week so I won't say much more about it.  But I am obsessed. Check it out! (Full post HERE)

Wet N' Wild PhotoFocus Foundation (Cocoa)
I had no idea what to expect from the brand and I am so pleased this foundation completely exceeded my expectations.  I love a foundation that feels nice and lightweight on the skin and this one totally delivers. Coverage is on point.  Price is on point.  I love that it's so easy to access.  You can find it at your local Target, Walgreens, CVS. Where ever. The shade range isn't the worst I've seen but that definitely doesn't mean they should stop expanding.  Anywayyyy, six bucks well spent.  Every time I wear it I swear I can't remember why I ever stopped using it.  It's one of the most affordable foundations out there but it is still so good.  (Full post HERE)

I don't think I've ever done a top 5 foundations post on here before.  So strange considering how absolutely obsessed I've been with them these past few years.  What's in your top 5?  Have you tried any of these?!  Let me know in the comments!   PS shall we start a Top 5 Series orrrrrr?!  :) :)
